IT Sourcing Manager

Job summary

The IT Sourcing Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing sourcing strategies for IT services within a complex, multi-vendor environment. This role involves close collaboration with senior IT managers and business stakeholders to ensure sourcing decisions effectively balance cost, risk, innovation, and service quality.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in IT sourcing, vendor management, procurement, or related commercial IT roles.
• Proven track record in multi-vendor, outsourced IT landscapes, including applications, infrastructure, and cloud services.
• Strong understanding of commercial and contractual aspects, with hands-on experience in RFI/RFP processes and negotiations.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging with technical, commercial, and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT sourcing initiatives, from initial assessments through RFI/RFP processes to negotiation and contracting.
• Drive sourcing decisions across applications, infrastructure, cloud, and managed services in a complex outsourced setup.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers, ensuring commercial models and governance structures that promote performance and innovation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership and business stakeholders, balancing cost efficiency, service quality, and speed to market.
• Utilize strong commercial and financial judgement through total cost of ownership analyses, business cases, KPIs, and vendor performance management.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management tools and methodologies is advantageous.
