IT Core Services Team Lead

Job summary

The IT Core Services Team Lead will oversee a team of Infrastructure and Network Engineers, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of platforms and services across Europe. This role combines technical leadership with people management, focusing on operational excellence and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud operations.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role with direct people management responsibilities.
• Proven experience in delivering IT projects on time and within scope.
• Familiarity with structured IT service management environments (ITIL or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 7 engineers, providing coaching and support to enhance performance.
• Establish clear processes for task management and ensure work is logged and prioritized.
• Own the team's backlog and produce regular status reports for IT management.
• Guide technical delivery for business projects and act as a technical escalation point.
• Review architectural decisions and ensure adherence to best practices in Microsoft cloud environments.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and cloud governance.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online and Teams.
• Understanding of enterprise networking concepts such as LAN/WAN and firewalls.
• Familiarity with IT security principles relevant to infrastructure and cloud.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and IT service management tools.
