About the role

Job summary

This internship offers a chance to gain practical experience in disability inclusion within a major NGO. The role involves supporting the Protection Advisors in designing and implementing a disability inclusion stock-take across multiple country programs.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant Master's program (e.g., disability studies, human rights, social work, etc.).
  • Lived experience or strong interest in disability inclusion; experience in the global south is a plus.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive and willing to learn in a diverse workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in mapping Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) globally.
  • Monitor and review global best practices in disability inclusion.
  • Participate in meetings, webinars, and training sessions.
  • Support the implementation of the OECD Disability Marker across projects.
  • Collaborate with other advisors to ensure an intersectional approach.

  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment and reflect on cultural backgrounds.

Education

  • Enrollment in a relevant Master's program is required.

Tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
