Community Mobilizer (Safeguarding)

Job summary

The role involves ensuring the quality of program implementation and compliance with donor standards while supporting community mobilization and safeguarding efforts. The position requires active participation in field assessments and providing technical training in agriculture and early warning systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, social science law, psychology, education, human rights, development studies, gender studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with international humanitarian organizations, preferably with UN-funded programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community meetings to promote project goals and benefits.
• Build relationships with local communities, leaders, and farmers, encouraging participation from women, youth, and marginalized groups.
• Provide training on improved agricultural practices, including crop management and pest control.
• Implement and monitor safeguarding policies during project activities, ensuring the safety of vulnerable groups.
• Collect and manage safeguarding-related complaints and feedback confidentially.
• Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to facilitate project implementation and partnerships.
• Represent the organization in community and district meetings.
