Job summary

An experienced Human Rights Due Diligence Specialist is needed to provide expert guidance in developing and enhancing a Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) framework, particularly in high-risk and conflict-affected environments within the financial services sector.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) at both policy and practitioner levels, especially in conflict-affected areas.
• Qualified Human Rights Lawyer or equivalent legal expertise in international human rights.
• Strong background in ESG and Sustainability, with experience in corporate frameworks.
• Experience applying human rights principles in commercial and risk functions of financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of conflict-area risk assessment and mitigation.
• Knowledge of OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and advisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure quality assurance in the development of the HRDD framework.
• Advise on integrating human rights principles into business processes and governance.
• Assess and manage human rights risks related to operations and investments in high-risk areas.
• Ensure alignment with international human rights standards and regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance ESG and sustainability initiatives through a human rights perspective.
• Provide practical recommendations to support compliance with human rights obligations.
