Head of Environment (Infrastructure, Copenhagen)

Job summary

Lead the environmental efforts for major infrastructure projects in Denmark, managing a team of environmental consultants and overseeing various environmental assessments and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in the environmental sector from government, municipalities, or consultancy.
• Proven track record in people management and working within interdisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with national environmental and climate policies, enabling critical evaluation of consultancy outputs.
• Experience in stakeholder management to ensure transparency in environmental processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 16 environmental consultants with diverse expertise.
• Oversee external environmental consultants and their contributions.
• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments for significant projects, including the Eastern Ring Road and storm surge protection initiatives.
• Supervise environmental activities related to the Femern Belt project and provide support for the operation of existing infrastructure links.
