Job summary

The Head Chef will lead the kitchen team in a unique open kitchen environment, focusing on fresh, simple, and healthy food offerings. This role involves menu development, financial management, and ensuring operational excellence in line with the company's food philosophy.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food cost control.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Danish or other languages is a plus.
  • EU residency or valid work permit for Denmark required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a kitchen team of approximately 5 FTE, fostering a thriving work environment.
  • Manage P&L responsibilities, including budget preparation and cost monitoring.
  • Create visually appealing and delicious dishes while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Curate menu offerings for events and maintain high kitchen standards.
  • Engage with guests in the open kitchen setting, enhancing their dining experience.

Skills

  • Strong creativity and passion for food.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining composure.
  • Hands-on problem-solving mentality.
  • Experience in healthy and vegetarian cooking is advantageous.

Education

  • Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent experience preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools relevant to high-quality food preparation.
