Job summary

The Global Raw Material Planning and Purchasing Specialist is tasked with overseeing the planning and procurement of raw materials to ensure seamless production and supply chain operations. This role involves collaboration on global planning initiatives and optimizing inventory management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and supply chain management tools.
  • Familiarity with D365 is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities across functions.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional setting.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage raw material requirements based on production forecasts and demand.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock.
  • Monitor stock levels, safety stock parameters, and reorder points.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to shortages or excess inventory.
  • Execute purchase orders in alignment with planning needs and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
  • Track supplier performance and support cost control initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and collaborate with warehouse teams for material availability.
  • Assist with global raw material allocation and participate in supply chain improvement projects.
  • Analyze inventory trends and prepare related reports.
