Job summary

The role of Global Category Manager focuses on Hydrocolloids and Starches, driving the global procurement strategy and ensuring the efficient transition of raw materials from testing to production in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Higher education in procurement, supply chain, food science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in raw material sourcing, particularly in Hydrocolloids and starches, is preferred.
• Strong understanding of supplier qualification, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in technical procurement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical skills and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficient in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global category strategies.
• Negotiate agreements for global and regional raw materials.
• Ensure supply availability and assess supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams for supplier qualification.
• Support Innovation teams in raw material screening and qualification.
• Manage the transition from pilot testing to industrial implementation.
• Maintain governance around supplier data and specifications.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply, compliance, and quality.
• Provide market insights and costing support to stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration across Procurement, Innovation, and Operations.
