Functional Platform Owner

Job summary

The role involves leading the development and enhancement of technology and processes within a functional platform that supports air and ocean logistics operations. The Functional Platform Owner will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational needs, focusing on efficiency, compliance, and scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in air and ocean logistics, including operations, documentation, and customer/vendor flows.
• Proven product management experience, including ownership of roadmaps and writing requirements in an agile environment.
• Practical experience with AI and automation in operational processes.
• Strong understanding of operational excellence and lean methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with business financials.
• Customer-centric approach with frontline knowledge of operations.
• Ability to manage stakeholders in a complex organization.
• Technical acumen to bridge business and technology.
• Strong ownership mentality towards product delivery.
• Resilience, agility, creativity, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the product and process roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Lead discovery of new products and solutions, identifying opportunities for automation and AI.
• Map business processes and define policies and controls.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for technology teams.
• Define acceptance criteria and ensure quality in technology deliverables.
• Collaborate with Governance, Risk & Compliance on effective controls and audits.
• Define master data policies and processes.
• Establish mechanisms to track value realization and delivery.
• Contribute to annual operating and budget planning.
• Act as a subject-matter expert in delivery sprints and feedback loops.
• Manage integration with customer and vendor technology.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in logistics or a related field.

Tools

• Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies, as well as AI and automation technologies.
