Freelance Supply Chain Consultant (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves designing and evaluating supply chain disruption scenarios for AI systems in a project-based capacity. The consultant will leverage their expertise to assess AI-generated recommendations and ensure they align with real-world business logic.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of practical experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement workflows including purchase orders, vendor management, inventory, and production planning.
• Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Ability to conceptualize and analyze supply chain disruption scenarios and mitigation strategies.
• Understanding of various disruption types including delays, shortages, quality issues, and logistics challenges.
• Familiarity with Incoterms and logistics management.
• Knowledge of BOM structures and production planning processes.
• Experience with supplier performance metrics like OTIF, lead times, and quality scores.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate AI outputs against business logic.
• Experience in data validation and structured data entry.
• Proficient written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are expected to require approximately 10-20 hours per week during active project phases.

Compensation

Earn up to $60 per hour, depending on experience and contribution level.

• Create realistic supply chain disruption scenarios based on real-world contexts.
• Define expected outcomes and mitigation strategies for each scenario.
• Evaluate AI-generated recommendations for accuracy and relevance.
• Contribute to data creation and validation tasks according to established guidelines.
