Job summary

This role involves engaging in project-based opportunities focused on enhancing AI systems through computational engineering challenges. Contributors will design and validate engineering problems using Python, ensuring they are computationally intensive and relevant to real-world applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
• Strong understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.
• Excellent written English skills (C1+).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international projects are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases of the project, based on specific requirements.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $50 per hour, depending on their expertise and contribution pace. Compensation may vary across different projects based on scope and complexity.

• Design original computational engineering problems that reflect real engineering workflows.
• Create problems that necessitate Python programming for solving engineering calculations and simulations.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive, requiring numerical methods or iterative solutions.
• Develop problems related to system design, optimization, and analysis based on real research challenges.
