Freelance Chatbot Developer (Remote)

Job summary

This is a freelance, fully remote position for a Chatbot Developer focusing on building and refining messaging bots for platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord. The role involves collaborating with Tendem Agents to ensure bots are reliable and user-friendly while integrating AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend, integration, automation, or bot development.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop bots for messaging platforms including WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord.
• Design conversational flows and manage dialogue states.
• Integrate bots with large language models for natural language processing.
• Connect bots to backend services and third-party APIs.
• Manage webhooks and platform-specific message formats.
• Evaluate and refine AI-generated bot code for reliability.
• Implement monitoring and recovery systems for bots in production.

Skills

• At least 1 year of experience building bots for major messaging platforms.
• Proficiency in Python or Node.js for backend development.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and database management.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and prompt design is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant technical field is a plus.

Tools

• Experience with Docker, serverless architectures, and hosting solutions is beneficial.
