Freelance Chatbot Developer (Remote)

Job summary

This is a freelance position for a Chatbot Developer focused on building and refining messaging bots for platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord. The role involves collaborating with Tendem Agents to enhance conversational bots within a hybrid AI and human environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in backend, integration, automation, or bot development.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop bots for messaging platforms including WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord.
• Design and implement conversational flows and dialogue management.
• Integrate bots with large language models for natural language processing.
• Connect bots to backend services, databases, and third-party APIs.
• Manage webhooks and platform-specific message formats.
• Refactor AI-generated bot code for reliability and error handling.
• Implement monitoring and logging for production bots.

Skills

• At least 1 year of experience building bots for major messaging platforms.
• Proficient in Python or Node.js for backend logic.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and database management.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and prompt design is a plus.
• Understanding of platform-specific messaging limits and deployment practices.

Education

• Portfolio or examples of previous bot projects are required.
• English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level (B2) or above is necessary.

Tools

• Experience with Docker, serverless architectures, and VPS or PaaS hosting is beneficial.
