Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Job summary

The role involves working closely with clients to design, build, and deploy AI solutions that are robust and effective in real-world environments. The engineer will engage directly with client stakeholders to translate operational challenges into actionable solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack engineering, with proficiency in Python for backend development and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend.
• Familiarity with databases and data modeling, particularly with PostgreSQL or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, with hands-on deployment experience.
• Understanding of solution architecture and system design.
• Experience with applied generative AI techniques and the ability to assess when traditional methods may be more appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate solutions, ensuring they meet accuracy, quality, and speed standards.
• Transition solutions from demo to production-ready for client teams.
• Communicate solution architecture effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Integrate solutions with existing client systems and ensure smooth handover for client operation.
• Participate in scoping and proposal discussions to shape project engagements.

Skills

• Strong client engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of managing expectations and providing clear explanations.
• Commercial awareness, with a focus on proposals and project scoping.

Education

• Relevant degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience with development tools and environments relevant to full-stack engineering and AI solutions.
