Finance Manager (Remote, International)

Job summary

The Finance Manager will lead a team and report directly to the CFO, ensuring high-quality reporting and financial governance while staying closely aligned with business operations.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in finance, including controlling and reporting, with experience in complex environments.
• Curiosity about business operations, decision-making, and commercial drivers.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to set direction and foster ownership among team members.
• Relevant experience in shipping, logistics, or commodities is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Team, establishing clear priorities and direction for five direct reports.
• Ensure accurate and useful financial reporting and insights.
• Engage with the business to understand operational realities and value creation.
• Improve processes and scalability through automation and effective use of AI.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance follow-up to support better decision-making.
• Prepare the Finance function for increased complexity, including new business areas and reporting requirements.
