Equipment Manager Specialist (Manufacturing, Hybrid)

Job summary

The Equipment Manager Specialist will act as the Technical Lead for the development and implementation of Processing Equipment Solutions, overseeing the project from initial research to deployment. This role involves collaboration with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of equipment solutions.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong technical foundation in automated production equipment development.
• Experience in creating production equipment, ideally in the consumer goods sector.
• Familiarity with 3D build software, such as Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of material properties and surface treatments.
• Understanding of safety standards relevant to machine development.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize projects focusing on technical solutions, cost, time, and resource management.
• Conduct conceptual work based on business needs and external supplier solutions.
• Create 3D and 2D designs in NX, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
• Perform Build Risk Assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to specify and arrange components.
• Develop test plans, evaluate results, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Support handover processes to ensure effective integration into the organization.
• Participate in After Action Reviews to improve operational guidelines.

Skills

• Proficiency in automation technologies, including robotics and camera systems.
• Experience with technical document management systems like TeamCenter.
• Strong collaboration and partnership skills.

Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a similar discipline.

Tools

• Siemens NX or similar 3D design software.
• TeamCenter or equivalent technical document management systems.
