Engineering Team Leader (Remote, Global)

Job summary

The Engineering Team Leader is responsible for managing a small product team of engineers while actively participating in product development. This role focuses on fostering team dynamics, providing guidance, and ensuring optimal execution of engineering tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 individuals.
• Strong background in Frontend (React, JS, ES6, Jest) or Backend (Elixir/Phoenix) development.
• Commitment to promoting organizational values and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
• Proven track record of delivering secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
• Experience with designing or adopting automation workflows and improving them iteratively.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 3-5 engineers, spending 30% of time on management tasks.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for new team members.
• Provide continuous feedback and coaching to team members.
• Redesign engineering workflows to incorporate autonomous agents for improved efficiency.
• Develop and implement agentic workflows to enhance delivery speed and quality.
• Ensure results are verified for correctness, security, and scalability.

Education
