Job summary

An experienced Engineering Manager is needed to lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on innovative networking solutions. This role involves driving the development of security and observability solutions, with a strong emphasis on Linux networking.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in Engineering Management.
  • Over 7 years of experience in systems programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Go, or Rust.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and kernel-level development, including BPF or eBPF programming for security or observability.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and grow software engineers and technical leaders.
  • Provide continuous feedback and conduct performance reviews with input from technical leads.
  • Monitor project progress and assist engineers in developing project management skills.
  • Maintain and promote the engineering culture during team expansion.
  • Serve as a role model for company culture and values.

Skills

  • Experience with observability platforms and SaaS security/analytics systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
  • Understanding of CVE workflows and vulnerability data pipelines.
  • Background in networking protocol analysis and development of networking switches.
  • Contributions to open-source projects in relevant fields are a plus.

Education

  • Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field is typically expected.

Tools

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, C, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and networking tools.
