Engineering Manager

Job summary

This role involves leading and developing a team of network engineers within a large enterprise environment, focusing on the evolution of enterprise network services for a complex global logistics organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading network engineering teams in large enterprises or service providers.
• Strong technical knowledge of enterprise LAN, WLAN, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Familiarity with network automation and cloud networking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of Network Engineers, setting priorities and performance expectations.
• Manage operational demands including incidents and service requests while ensuring engineering delivery commitments.
• Oversee the operation and improvement of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and NFV services across various sites.
• Coordinate technical escalations and major incident responses with stakeholders and vendors.
• Drive initiatives for lifecycle management, technical debt reduction, and service standardization.

Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with network security principles and incident management.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and ITIL practices.

Education

• Relevant professional certifications such as Cisco CCNP Enterprise or equivalent are desirable.
