Job summary

An engineering intern is sought for a 20-week position within the Global Supply Chain, starting in August/September 2026. The role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and supporting improvement projects in a leading Lean company in the medical technology sector.

Qualifications

  • General understanding of Supply Chain Management.
  • Familiarity with forecasting and Lean methodologies.
  • Proactive and initiative-taking attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Proficient in Excel, including knowledge of VBA and Power Query, with experience in data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Report on 'On Time Delivery' and inventory levels.
  • Assist in improvement projects related to delivery timelines.
  • Forecast consumables and spare parts.
  • Help prepare production plans in collaboration with production teams.
  • Engage in cross-organizational projects, particularly through Kaizen events, and take ownership of project completion.
  • Optimize and develop new tools using Excel and Power BI.
  • Adhere to and refine standard work practices in daily tasks.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and locations.

Education

  • Relevant academic background in engineering or a related field is preferred.
