Embedded Software Engineer (Cybersecurity, Remote)

Job summary

This position involves developing innovative embedded software solutions aimed at enhancing patient care and safety. The role is part of a collaborative and agile embedded software team focused on creating a modular platform for medical devices.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Broad experience as a software developer, particularly in embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop functionality in firmware, software, and drivers for medical devices.
• Collaborate with the embedded software team and application software team on interfaces and functionalities.
• Support documentation efforts to comply with medical device and cybersecurity standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with embedded Linux, preferably Yocto.
• Knowledge of developing software and documentation for medical devices.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, with a willingness to learn if not already knowledgeable.
• Familiarity with implementing Linux drivers.
• Experience with Python and shell scripting.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Education

• University degree in electronics, computer science, or a similar field.
