Job summary

The Director of Private Awards Management provides strategic leadership for private award management, overseeing a globally distributed team and ensuring effective collaboration across various organizational units. This role involves managing strategic initiatives, directing project implementation, and maintaining compliance with financial and legal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Extensive management experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
• Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience is highly valued.
• Expert knowledge of current trends in private donor grant management and financial systems.
• Experience with government regulations and grants.
• Professional certification as a CPA or CIA, or candidacy for the same is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance performance aligned with organizational objectives.
• Develop and manage plans and strategies to meet long-range priorities.
• Lead the implementation of multiple projects and new programs.
• Oversee the development and management of budgets, including vendor negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with programmatic commitments, policies, financial standards, and legal requirements.
• Report to senior leadership on functional activities and participate in policy formulation.
