Job summary

The Director of Digital Solutions & Technology is responsible for leading multidisciplinary engineering teams focused on software, firmware, and electrical hardware within the hearing and balance product portfolio. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, defining platform architecture and technology direction while ensuring compliance with performance and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years in a digital engineering leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge in embedded systems, firmware, software architecture, and digital electronics.
• Proven track record of integrating AI/ML into product development, particularly in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of software and hardware development lifecycle management in compliance with regulations (IEC 62304, cybersecurity).
• Experience in building and scaling high-performing, cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and architectural levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams across software, firmware, hardware, product security, and DevOps.
• Drive the integration of AI and machine learning into product features and champion AI-assisted development practices.
• Define and manage digital platform architecture and long-range technology roadmaps.
• Ensure high-quality design and implementation of embedded systems and software platforms.
• Oversee software and firmware development lifecycles in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to translate clinical and product requirements into technical solutions.
