DevOps Engineer (Remote, Freelance)

Job summary

This freelance position involves designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure for automation workflows in a hybrid AI and human environment. The role focuses on ensuring system stability, scalability, and high availability across various environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or backend system management.
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fields is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level (B2 or above).

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain self-hosted automation environments (e.g., n8n or similar).
• Design and manage infrastructure for high-volume workflows and large-scale data processing.
• Scale automation systems for concurrent workloads and performance-intensive tasks.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to track performance and detect failures.
• Implement alerts for critical events such as node failures and performance drops.
• Ensure system uptime, reliability, and fault tolerance across automation pipelines.

Skills

• Strong experience with cloud platforms and deployment workflows.
• Proven ability to maintain high-availability systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• Understanding of system performance, scaling strategies, and fault tolerance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to reliability.
• Self-directed work ethic with troubleshooting and optimization skills.

Tools

• Experience with automation platforms and high-frequency workflows is preferred.
• Portfolio or examples of previous infrastructure setups and monitoring systems are a plus.
