Design Assistant (Fashion, Brande)

Job summary

A creative and dedicated Design Assistant is sought to contribute to the development of contemporary menswear collections. The role involves collaboration with the Design Manager and teams in Design and Buying to create authentic styles that resonate with current trends.

Qualifications

• Relevant educational background or work/apprentice experience in Design.
• Proficiency in design software including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Familiarity with Generative AI Design.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trend and product research to maintain a consistent visual identity across collections.
• Prepare style sheets, technical drawings, color charts, and detailed design descriptions.
• Collaborate daily with designers on collection development and provide ongoing feedback.
• Work closely with the Buying team on development and sample feedback.
• Prepare styles for production, optimizing fit, materials, and details in dialogue with designers and purchasing.
• Manage ad hoc tasks, including organizing and updating collection overviews.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in design.

Tools
