Data Center Technician Intern (IT, Denmark)

Job summary

This internship role involves supporting the deployment and maintenance of physical infrastructure within data centers, contributing to the core operations of cloud services. The position emphasizes professional development and offers opportunities for training and certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and components.
• Interest in IT equipment and related technologies.
• Currently pursuing a relevant technical qualification.
• Must be a Danish citizen or resident eligible to work in Denmark.
• Willingness to travel to various data center locations across Denmark.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware.
• Manage data-bearing devices such as hard drives and solid-state drives.
• Operate within a ticket-based support environment.
• Move equipment using pallet jacks or similar lifting tools.
• Support the Datacenter Inventory and Asset Management Team with shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks as needed.

Skills

• Effective communication with various stakeholders.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Ability to support physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays.

Education

• Relevant technical qualifications are preferred, such as CompTIA certifications (A+, Server+, Network+) and Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).

Tools

• Familiarity with IT hardware and tools used in data center operations.
