Data & AI Engineer

Job summary

This role focuses on enabling the digital transformation of the Engineering department through the design, development, and scaling of backend applications, databases, APIs, and cloud-based solutions that support renewable energy operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in backend, software, or data engineering roles.
• Proficient in Python and REST API development.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-native applications.
• Integrate tools and data platforms for centralized solution frameworks.
• Facilitate data exchange and interoperability across functions.
• Support AI-driven automation, analytics, and reporting solutions.
• Enhance data governance and maintain trusted data sources.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
• Ensure high-quality outputs through testing and modern software practices.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
• Familiarity with SQL databases; knowledge of NoSQL and vector databases is a plus.
• Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of modern data platforms, preferably Databricks.
• Experience building AI applications using LLMs and workflow orchestration frameworks.
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD, and agile software development methodologies.

Education

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
