Customs Master Data Specialist (Logistics, Hybrid)

Job summary

The role involves ensuring compliance and maintenance of customs master data within SAP GTS, focusing on HS code classification and supporting global customs processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in product classification (HS codes)
• Strong understanding of customs processes, including BTI and non-preferential origin shipments
• Knowledge of Country of Origin calculation rules and regulations
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage extensive master data accurately

• Team player with strong communication skills for cross-site collaboration
• Proven ability to identify opportunities and lead change initiatives

Responsibilities

• Manage system compliance and maintenance in SAP GTS, including HS code classification for products
• Oversee HS code governance and maintenance
• Support the Country of Origin process in line with regulations
• Handle LTSD management within SAP GTS
• Act as the main contact for BTI requests and ensure understanding of the process
• Collaborate with production sites to facilitate production moves
• Supervise non-preferential origin processes within the EU
• Stay updated on customs master data changes to ensure compliance

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience with SAP, preferably SAP GTS
• Background in logistics with a focus on customs master data
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal

Education

• Relevant experience in customs compliance and data management is essential.
