Financial Controller

Team 

As a Financial Controller in the Accounting, Controlling and Compliance team for EMEA, you will become part of a growing and developing team consisting of 8 financial professionals in Copenhagen, London and Madrid.

Role

Reporting into the Vice President - Accounting, Controlling and Compliance, you will develop and maintain our finance setup for the investment vehicles, while having oversight and controlling of the day-to day accounting performed by third party service providers. In so doing, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing and delivering best-in-class finance processes for our investment vehicles.

Responsibilities will further consist of:  

• Oversight and controlling of the day-to day accounting performed by third party service providers

• Responsibility for P2P process, ensuring timely approval of invoices, payments and dealing with vendor queries

• Assist with pre-agreeing quarterly billing and overseeing the production and delivery of sales invoices

• Controlling of accounts including balance sheet reconciliations, IC loans, dual bookkeeping systems reconciliation, etc.

• Compile quarterly management accounts reporting as required by Global Finance Team

• Ensuring timely submission and payment of all tax filing, incl VAT, CIT, WHT, PAYE etc

• Overseeing setup of new investment structures for the EMEA region

You

We are looking for a motivated individual holding a relevant degree and a minimum of 5+ years of full-time experience in financial controlling or financial management, in a corporate controlling environment. We also look for the following in a candidate:

• High ability to prioritise assignments and ensure short deadlines

• Thrives when managing challenging assignments and displays high attention to detail

• Motivated by building best practises and growing the finance function

• Knowledge of corporate finance

• Solid experience with Excel and PowerPoint
