Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure? If so, CIP Fund Solutions (CIP FS) is looking for an ESG Analyst (Student Assistant) to join our office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Team

As our new Analyst, you will join a 10-person ESG team and work closely with colleagues across investments, finance, and operations. The ESG team works close to real infrastructure investments and asset‑level decisions and is looking to improve its ESG data and reporting capabilities.

Role

As our new Analyst , you will support the ESG team in delivering advice and assistance relating to our ESG investment advisory services across current and future funds and investments, as well as help respond to a broad range of ad hoc ESG queries across the business. Additionally, you will support ongoing counterparty monitoring and ESG due diligence processes.

You will become part of CIP Fund Solutions and work closely with colleagues across the ESG team and the wider organization in an international and dynamic environment. You will gain exposure to ESG-related matters across fund structures, investments, investor requests, reporting processes, and regulatory developments within renewable energy and infrastructure.

We place a clear emphasis on learning and personal development. You will have the opportunity to build your professional skillset through practical experience, close collaboration with experienced colleagues, and participation in relevant learning and training activities. The role offers a solid platform for developing both your technical ESG understanding and your broader commercial insight.

The position is a part-time Student Assistant role (approximately 15–20 hours/week) and requires that you are currently enrolled at university. Workload may vary over time, and flexibility is therefore expected from both sides.

Responsibilities will further consist of:

  • Supporting the ESG team on investment advisory activities for investments globally, as well as on various ad hoc ESG-related queries

  • Supporting ESG and due diligence activities under the supervision of the ESG team

  • Supporting the team in helping ensure compliance with internal policies and external ESG-related requirements across current and future investments

  • Acting as coordinator for ESG investor requests — answering such requests to the extent possible and otherwise coordinating input and responses with the rest of the ESG team

  • Contributing to the maintenance and updating of ESG-related documentation, standards, and policies, as well as to the development and improvement of new and existing processes.

You

We are looking for a candidate who is currently studying Business Administration, Management, Commercial Law, Finance, Sustainability, or a similar field. You are in the later part of your bachelor’s degree or in the early stage of your master’s degree.

During your studies, you have gained 1–2 years of relevant experience or knowledge within ESG, sustainability, CSR, reporting, advisory, commercial law, finance, or the renewable energy industry.

Moreover, you are a highly motivated and accountable-minded individual who thrives in a motivated, collaborative environment with shifting priorities.

We look for the following in a candidate:

  • Advanced attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Solid skills in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Ability to work in an international, professional, and varied environment

  • A structured and proactive approach to tasks, with a willingness to take ownership where relevant.
