Construction Foreman (Data Centre, Denmark)

Job summary

The role involves overseeing a section of a construction site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. The Foreman will coordinate with site supervisors and manage day-to-day activities to meet project specifications and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations within a designated section of the construction site.
• Lead and manage Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor performance of subcontractors and workforce to ensure adherence to contract specifications.
• Implement health, safety, environmental, and quality practices on-site.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs and inspection reports.
• Assist in planning and resource allocation with the General Site Supervisor.
• Identify and escalate risks and issues to higher management.
• Participate in site briefings and toolbox talks to communicate requirements.
• Mentor junior staff and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supervising construction teams on medium-scale projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction methods and relevant codes of practice.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and plan effectively.
• Understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Education

• Trade or technical background with site supervision experience.
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety training.
• Additional safety training relevant to construction site operations.

Tools

• Familiarity with BIM strategy and construction technology.
