Communication and Social Media Intern

Job summary

The Communication and Social Media Intern will support the management of social media platforms for an international organization, focusing on content strategy and engagement. This role involves assisting with daily operations, analyzing social media performance, and contributing to various projects within the People Programmes and Partnerships unit.

Qualifications

• Currently in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, enrolled in a master’s degree, or graduated within the last year in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field.
• Prior experience in social media management is preferred.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps (InDesign, Illustrator, or Premiere Pro) is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French and/or Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to queries on the organization’s Careers social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram).
• Collaborate on the content strategy for social media outlets.
• Identify and create staff testimonials for social media.
• Collect and analyze data on social media impact based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support external reporting on communication results.
• Conduct research on best practices for various projects.
• Assist with ad hoc activities related to the People Programmes and Partnerships.

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize information visually for social media.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Interest in working within an international organization.

Education

• Candidates must be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in a relevant field.

Tools

• Experience with social media management tools and Adobe Creative Cloud applications is beneficial.
