Cloud Backend Engineer (Remote, Technology)

Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Over three years of experience as a backend or cloud engineer.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Go, or Python.
• Experience with REST APIs and API schema development.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, VPC, EC2/ASG, and SQS.
• Proven experience in deploying scalable cloud applications.
• Proficient in Git and Linux.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Attributes such as empathy, honesty, and a willingness to understand others' perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of backend extensions for the cloud compute engine.
• Enhance the testing and QA infrastructure.
• Ensure the quality of implementations meets design objectives.
• Deliver new features and tests on a regular schedule.
• Design and document improvements to the cloud compute engine API.
• Contribute to operational procedure enhancements within the engineering team.

Skills

• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and load testing.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development.
• Exposure to frontend development and full-stack applications is a plus.

Education

• Undergraduate or master's degree in a relevant field.

Tools

• AWS core services, Git, Linux, and familiarity with coding platforms.
