Chief IT Infrastructure Specialist (Mainframe, Hybrid)

Job summary

This role involves maintaining, developing, and optimizing the Mainframe Infrastructure environment to ensure it is the best in the Nordic region. The position is part of a dedicated team focused on governance, compliance, and cost efficiency of the Mainframe services.

Qualifications

• Technical background with experience in IBM Mainframe environments.
• Previous roles as a Mainframe Subject Matter Expert, System Programmer, or Architect.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a dedicated Mainframe team.
• Analyze current mainframe software usage.
• Define, assess, and design alternatives to existing solutions.
• Plan and execute migrations to new target solutions.
• Modernize the Mainframe platform.

Skills

• Proficiency in IBM zOS.
• Experience with Endevor configuration.
• Knowledge of cross-platform communications and mainframe scripting languages.
• Familiarity with mainframe Unix System Services.
• Understanding of mainframe SDLC, CI/CD, and VSCode is a plus.
• Knowledge of transaction managers, databases, and queue systems like CICS and IMS.

Education

• Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in IT infrastructure.

Tools

• IBM zOS, Endevor, mainframe scripting languages, CI/CD tools, VSCode.
