Category Manager (Technology Procurement)

Job summary

The role of Category Manager focuses on managing the Software category within the Technology Procurement team. This position involves executing strategic sourcing projects and collaborating with various stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management, with a minimum of 5 years in IT procurement.
• Proven experience in software procurement, including licensing, SaaS, and enterprise agreements.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decisions across different levels.
• Excellent analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic sourcing projects and category management activities in collaboration with Technology stakeholders.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost drivers and opportunities for cost-effectiveness in the Software category.
• Perform market and supplier research to identify and engage new suppliers.
• Develop sourcing strategies based on stakeholder needs and commercial recommendations.
• Manage strategic sourcing activities including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contracting.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation and process improvements.
