Job summary

The role involves developing computational tools and platforms for predictive metabolic modeling and pathway design to support the mission of replacing fossil-based production routes with climate-friendly bioprocesses. The position is based at the BRIGHT Biofoundry, which focuses on biosustainable technologies and microbial strain design.

Qualifications

• University degree in software engineering, bioinformatics, or equivalent experience
• Experience with database development
• Familiarity with standard software engineering practices (version control, unit testing, etc.)
• Interest or experience in omics analysis and metabolic modeling
• Experience or interest in web application development and server administration
• Knowledge of cloud computing services
• Excellent written and spoken English, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop data processing pipelines using cloud-computing services
• Design and manage databases
• Create data analytics tools for bioinformatics analysis
• Engage in web frontend and backend development
• Administer and monitor server operations.
