Audio Product Development Engineer (DSP, Remote)

Job summary

This role focuses on ensuring high-quality audio performance in headsets by porting, integrating, and validating audio DSP algorithms for specific target platforms, while troubleshooting complex audio issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of core audio DSP concepts such as equalization and adaptive filters.
• Proficient in MATLAB or Python for signal analysis and test automation.
• Experience in C/C++ development for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with fixed-point and floating-point DSP implementations and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of hardware-software integration with audio peripherals.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Responsibilities

• Port and optimize audio DSP algorithms for target platforms, ensuring seamless integration with existing firmware.
• Integrate DSP and hardware modules into the audio signal chain, understanding the flow of audio data.
• Develop and execute test plans for validating DSP blocks and the overall audio system.
• Perform low-level debugging to identify and resolve audio anomalies.
• Develop calibration and measurement tools for audio components.
• Document implementation details, integration interfaces, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with audio targets.
