Audio Product Development Engineer (DSP, Remote)

Job summary

This role focuses on ensuring high-quality audio performance in headsets by porting, integrating, and validating audio DSP algorithms for specific target platforms. The engineer will troubleshoot complex audio DSP issues and contribute insights to the product development cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of core audio DSP concepts, including equalization and adaptive filters.
• Proficient in MATLAB or Python for signal analysis and test automation.
• Experience in C/C++ development for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with fixed-point and floating-point DSP implementations and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of hardware-software integration with audio peripherals.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Responsibilities

• Port, integrate, and optimize audio DSP algorithms to target platforms, ensuring seamless operation within the existing firmware stack.
• Integrate DSP and hardware modules into the audio signal chain, understanding the flow of audio data.
• Develop and execute test plans for validating the functionality and performance of DSP blocks and the overall audio system.
• Perform low-level debugging to diagnose issues within DSP firmware and hardware interactions.
• Develop calibration routines for audio components and create tools for automated testing and performance evaluation.
• Document implementation details, integration interfaces, and test procedures for future maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with algorithm design and audio targets.
