About the role

Job summary

The position is for a tenure track Fellow at the Assistant Professor level in Software Engineering, commencing on January 1, 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter. The role involves engaging in interdisciplinary research and contributing to high-quality research outputs within the framework of the Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) and the Software Engineering units at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute.

Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent qualifications in software engineering or computer science.
  • Demonstrated curiosity-driven research excellence and ability to think beyond traditional boundaries.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proven potential for attracting external research funding, with experience in funding applications considered an advantage.
  • Research publications showcasing excellence and broad thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality research in Software Engineering, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly in areas like Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Engage actively in DIAS activities and foster interdisciplinary dialogue.
  • Drive internationally competitive research initiatives.
  • Disseminate research findings through various channels, promoting interdisciplinary engagement.
