Applications Engineer I (Engineering, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role involves supporting the development and integration of advanced communication systems, focusing on customer and sales support. The Applications Engineer I will work closely with clients and internal teams to define, test, and implement new products and features, ensuring effective solutions to technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency with testing instruments such as spectrum analyzers and multimeters.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with PC office applications and mobile devices.
• Willingness to travel for customer site support.

Responsibilities

• Design and test solutions for unique technical problems.
• Define and evaluate new products and features, conducting field trials.
• Provide technical support to customers and the sales team via various communication methods.
• Offer live support during European working hours to ensure global coverage.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams for field testing and validation.
• Create and maintain customer-facing documentation such as manuals and guides.
• Assist with RMA and Loaner processes, providing guidance and recommendations.
• Travel up to 25% for in-person support, demonstrations, and training.

Skills

• Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol and networking.
• Experience with IP radios/modems and wireless communication systems.
• Familiarity with Linux and programming languages like Python or C/C++.

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.

Tools

• Spectrum analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, and other RF testing equipment.
