Analytics Engineer

Job summary

The role involves building, maintaining, and optimizing data solutions to support mission-critical operations. The Analytics Engineer will ensure the smooth functioning of data processes and administration within the CRM, Automation, and Intelligence Unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with large databases.
• At least 2 years of experience with marketing, fundraising, or financial data.
• Strong understanding of Analytics Engineering principles and experience with at least one data transformation tool (e.g., dbt, SQLmesh).
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical partner to the business, understanding operational needs to deliver impactful data solutions.
• Manage the end-to-end data request pipeline, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Write, implement, and optimize complex SQL transformations for data processing.
• Develop organizational data flows to securely move data across departments.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and performance issues in data processes.
• Continuously develop and optimize the data warehouse for operational needs.
• Administer analytics platforms (e.g., Civis, Tableau) for smooth data access.
• Create and run complex queries for data integrity and specific extraction initiatives.

Skills

• Mastery of data modeling, transformation logic, and advanced SQL.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience in data warehouse maintenance and ensuring data quality.
• Technical management of analytics and business intelligence platforms.
• Ability to build scalable and maintainable data assets.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
