Agronomist (Renewable Energy, Denmark)

Job summary

An experienced agronomist is sought to enhance collaboration between the agricultural sector and the biogas industry. This role involves strategic input in the development of biogas plants and ensuring compliance with agricultural regulations while supporting Denmark's green transition.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in agronomy or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in crop advisory or plant production advisory roles.
• Strong expertise in fertilization, crop cultivation, and manure management.
• Proven experience in advising farmers and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency in English and willingness to travel internationally (20–30 days per year).

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and implementation of agricultural and waste management regulations.
• Serve as the primary agricultural contact for government and industry organizations.
• Maintain expert knowledge of agricultural practices and fertilizer use.
• Coordinate agricultural data quality assurance for IT systems.
• Collaborate on the development and marketing of fertilizer products.
• Participate in research related to emissions from degassed biomass.
• Support strategic initiatives regarding fertilizer products and biomass use.
• Work with Supply Chain on contractual and logistical solutions.
• Assist Asset Management with operational tasks and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural legislation in collaboration with HSSE and Corporate Relations.

Skills

• Strong strategic thinking and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Mark Online and strong Excel skills.
• Experience in creating presentations using PowerPoint.

Education

• Degree in agronomy or a related field is required.

Tools

• Familiarity with Mark Online and Biogas Online is preferred.
