3D Artist (Gaming/VFX, Hybrid, Billund)

Qualifications

• Background in a 3D-related education with several years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in modeling and UV mapping using Autodesk Maya.
• Familiarity with Substance Painter, ZBrush, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Understanding of digital pipelines and ability to provide feedback on solutions for various digital demands.
• Strong collaboration skills and a positive attitude, embracing diverse cultures.
• Results-oriented with adaptability to change.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform hard surface and organic modeling in Maya, including UV mapping and mesh optimization.
• Clean up 3D models by removing unnecessary geometry and fixing errors.
• Engage in texture mapping and projection painting for VFX and games.
• Collaborate with vendors and customers to identify needs and prioritize tasks.
• Stay updated with industry-standard workflows to foster innovation.
• Participate actively in production activities within agile and scrum frameworks.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Skills

• Experience with PBR texturing, shading, and look development is a plus.
• Familiarity with game engines such as Unreal or Unity.
• Knowledge of rigging, animation, lighting, and rendering is advantageous.
• Experience with Marvelous Designer or similar tools is beneficial.
• Scripting experience is a plus.

Education

• Relevant degree in 3D art or related field.
