Recreation Therapy Intern (Mental Health, Remote/Various Locations)

Job summary

This internship provides hands-on experience in recreation therapy within a leading mental health agency, focusing on youth and families. Interns will work under the guidance of certified professionals and engage in various therapeutic activities.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Bachelor’s degree applicants must be entering at least their junior year.
• Experience working with children or adolescents is required.

• Collaborate with recreation therapists to facilitate group sessions 3 times per week, lasting 1 to 2.5 hours.
• Participate in treatment planning, including evaluating and setting recreational goals for youth.
