Job summary

This role involves working as a Weekend DevOps Engineer, primarily covering Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with flexibility in days off. The position focuses on enhancing existing infrastructure and processes across multiple countries, improving DevOps practices, and maintaining cloud operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps.
  • Must reside in Europe, Asia, or Latin America.
  • Proven experience in leading project planning and deployment independently.
  • Strong background in cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Familiarity with Micro Services and Service Mesh concepts.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD processes.
  • Solid understanding of networking, especially TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Linux OS issues and optimizing OS parameters.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of DevOps and DBA professionals.
  • Enhance infrastructure and streamline processes for deployment in new countries.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools like OpsWorks and Grafana.
  • Take ownership of cloud operation activities and liaise with security agencies for audits.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot and TypeScript/VueJS.
  • Experience with cloud libraries such as Netflix Eureka and Zuul.
  • Knowledge of databases like MySQL and Oracle.
  • Familiarity with caching technologies including Redis and ElastiCache.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • AWS EC2, VPC, Lambda, EBS, S3, OpsWorks, Salt, Chef, Drone, Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK.
