Victim Services Supervisor (Public Sector, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves supervising and coordinating the daily activities of personnel within a Victim Services Counseling Program, focusing on the development of clinical skills and effective intervention strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health-related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in clinical mental health counseling and crisis management, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Licensure as a Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist may substitute for two years of required experience.
• Valid Class C Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and promote the clinical skill development of employees through observation and evaluation.
• Set goals, objectives, and resource requirements for Victim Services programs.
• Participate in budget preparation and monitoring for the division.
• Research and prepare materials for grant proposals and reports.
• Provide leadership during critical incidents and disasters.
• Assign projects and monitor task completion for effectiveness and timeliness.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and develop improved methods.
• Provide clinical supervision for employees pursuing licensure.
• Conduct media interviews and prepare for court testimonies as needed.
