Job summary

This role focuses on leading the development of a highly utilized Android text-to-speech application, ensuring high-quality feature delivery and user satisfaction. The position requires strategic thinking and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience
• Familiarity with Android components and experience with at least one Android app
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy
• Excellent communication skills
• User-oriented problem-solving approach

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of major features and collaborate closely with the design team
• Shape the future direction of the Android team
• Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features
• Participate in cross-team discussions involving Product, Design, and Engineering
• Review pull requests and support team members
• Address critical issues and unexpected challenges
• Manage feature releases and provide nightly builds for QA

Skills

• Proficient in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests
• Self-driven to enhance the app and codebase beyond specifications
