About the role

Job summary

Support the AI Sensory project within a research laboratory, focusing on sensory science and brewing. This role involves both experimental work and data-driven research, providing hands-on experience with laboratory workflows and data analysis.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a late Bachelor’s or early Master’s degree in (food) chemistry or a related field.
  • Interest in laboratory work and experimental processes.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques such as Gas Chromatography, Spectroscopy, and E-noses.
  • Detail-oriented and structured approach to sample and data handling.
  • Outgoing personality with a service-minded attitude.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize large collections of samples using QR-based tracking systems.
  • Ensure proper storage, cataloguing, and traceability of experimental samples.
  • Prepare samples for analytical platforms like GC-MS and other instrumentation.
  • Support daily laboratory workflows and experimental execution.
  • Assist in data handling and contribute to early-stage data analysis tasks.
