Staff Engineer - Platform Engineering (Copenhagen)

Job summary

In this role, you will lead the technical direction for a range of platform capabilities, including Cloud Enablement, Container Platform, Edge Platform, Observability, and Hosting Platforms. You will connect long-term strategies with practical execution, ensuring alignment on architecture and platform evolution across multiple products.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering cloud platform architecture in enterprise-scale environments.
• Proven track record in building platform engineering capabilities supporting various engineering teams or products.
• Leadership experience in distributed systems and infrastructure engineering with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to establish technical direction, standards, or architecture roadmaps in complex technology landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Define and establish clear technical direction across the Platform Engineering portfolio.
• Enhance alignment among Cloud Enablement, Container Platform, Edge Platform, Observability, and Hosting Platforms.
• Drive architectural consistency and platform adoption within Digital Technology.
• Collaborate with Lead Engineers to execute strategic technology decisions.
• Modernize platform infrastructure while minimizing technical debt.
• Promote engineering excellence across cloud, platform, and infrastructure domains.

Skills

• Familiarity with FinOps practices to enhance cloud governance and efficiency.
• Experience in developing or improving observability and telemetry platforms for large-scale operations.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Tools

• Proficiency in cloud platforms and engineering tools relevant to platform development and management.
